Pathway: HOME SimulatorHIL simulator based on standardized COTS x86 Processor and PC104 I/O Boards
Pathway’s Pelican104 simulator can be used as a hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulator for testing of automotive, off-road or commercial, medical electronics, etc ECUs. Pelican 104 simulator has a compact, rugged, aluminum chassis and can operate in normal environment from -40 degC to 55 deg C. Pelican104 simulator fully supports the MATLAB/Simulink® modeling environment. The plant models development in Simulink can run on the Pelican104 simulator using the xPC Target real-time kernel from the MathWorks®. The I/O of Pelican104 simulator can be completely customized. The simulator has space for seven PC104 form factor I/O cards. Additional I/O and custom signal conditioning, if required, can be added. SOFTWARE SUPPORT Pathway provides software tools for configuration and control of the simulator hardware. If using the xPC Target real-time kernel from the MathWorks, TCP/IP connectivity is available between the host PC and the simulator for exercising the plant model, real-time monitoring and data logging. SYSTEM INTEGRATION In addition to the COTS components, it is possible to integrate hardware which is specific to your project into the HIL simulator. Pathway provides engineering services for the design and fabrication of custom electronics components and/or for system integration. The custom hardware components we develop include
