Pelican 104 has a compact, rugged, aluminum chassis that can operate in normal environment. Pelican 104 is also available with a sealed aluminum chassis for operation is harsh environments.

The standard operating temperature range is -40° C to +60° C. For harsh conditions, Pelican 104 is available in an extended temperature version.

Each unit includes 256 MB RAM, a high speed IDE controller that supports DiskonModule, Compact Flash, and Flash Disk type of flash devices, and an external power supply for AC operation.

Pelican 104 can also be powered by DC voltage source that can range from 6 to 40V DC, enabling it to be powered by a number of battery types for mobile applications.

Pelican 104 enables you to load your real-time application directly into the flashRAM available on-board so that it can boot automatically and execute your application without a physical connection or communication with your another computer. This mode is ideal for mobile applications like fleet-vehicle testing.
